I’ve talked about Affiliate revenue in the past, but since Saverocity has grown into a network of blogs I thought it would be valuable to both the readers, and the contributors here, to share some insights to Affiliate revenue, and how the site generates money.
Affiliate links are links to products that offer us a commission. Primarily these will be Credit Card links, but some others, such as Personal Capital can also provide us with income. When a reader elects to signup for a product from the link, revenue is sent to the site. Now that you are aware of this, you have a choice whether to use our links, or take them elsewhere, so we thank you if you chose us.
Opting to use an Affiliate link does not cost you anything, and the money sent to us comes from the pocket of the bank or credit company used.
At Saverocity, I wanted to build a platform where the contributors are simply better off here than on their own, so when creating our revenue sharing policy I put them above all else. With that in mind, please be aware that the bloggers at Saverocity all receive 100% of their own revenue from Affiliate links. What that means from a decision making process is that if you really enjoy reading an individual blog, clicking on any link on that site will give that blogger all of the revenue.
There will be links that we put into posts that are affiliated in this manner, and send us revenue, and there will be links that do not, but are better for you as a reader. We will do our best to alert you to when an affiliate link is included in the post so that you can determine if its presence influences the content you receive. It is our intention to only promote the best available offers, and will do our best to ensure that we do not promote substandard offers. Of course, we rely on your help to share better deals with us, and we will gladly be made aware of better deals for Credit Cards.
If it becomes confusing, you can simply email any of the contributors here and they can help explain how to direct the clicks in a way that ensures they get to the right place. Note -there is an intentional space before the @ symbol to confound people, and non-people:
- Contact Big Habitat: bighabitatcom @gmail.com
- Contact PF Digest: pfdigest @gmail.com
- Contact Chasing The Points: chasingthepoints @gmail.com
The site remains a labor of love for us all, and whilst we appreciate the revenue, we really care about hearing from you, your comments, and your sharing of our content via email, twitter, facebook, carrier pigeon and any other means possible. Without your readership, we have nothing.
Cheers,
Matt from Saverocity

Nice new header. Keep the full disclosure coming. IMO full disclosure means disclosing everything possible without violating the affiliate terms. I think it is ALWAYS in your best interest. I just can’t believe what punks some of these bloggers have turned out to be (ahem Scott aka milevalue.) That POS told me he wanted a fee to answer a united award question! And I participated in us airways 100% mile sharing deal w him a few months back and trusted him w 50000 DM. I don’t think it will ever stop amazing me how much clowns like him let this get to their heads…

Hey Brad, that’s the type of comment that belongs in my blog. Darn Saverocity empire, taking over everything slowly.
Kidding aside, this was a great post on the murky subject. I will copy it when I join the dark side lol.
