It’s an exciting time for Saverocity, and I’m glad to have you guys with me on the journey.
Welcoming Dia, The Deal Mommy
Firstly, I’d like you all to welcome Dia, The Deal Mommy to Saverocity. I’ve been a huge fan of Dia for some time now, her focus seems actually realistic: making travel available and affordable to families, and including other great deals that make sense for a family. She also masterminded FT4RL – Family Travel 4 Real Life! A conference that connects people with some of the best family focused travel bloggers out there to share tips and tricks of the ‘trade’. Tickets are on sale now for a follow up to this event, and they will sell fast. A lot of the Saverocity family will be there, and if my schedule opens up I hope to be there too.
Charity Selection for Q4 – Stop Hunger Now!
Also, it is October 1st, and we kick off our attempt to support charity. We shortlisted 4 charities, and put them to vote, Stop Hunger Now was selected as the winner. Hopefully with your help we can funnel some well needed funds to these guys.
In other news, The Forum is really taking off, I highly recommend joining if you haven’t already. We have some great discussions there, both in the public and private areas. I find the forum is a great venue for me as life is a little hectic right now, meaning I can’t always sit down to structure a post, but I can help share and discuss ideas via this medium, as it is quick and easy to use. Hope to see you there!
Cheers,
Matt

Hell yea Matt- great score with the Deal Mommy. She’s a great fit and addition for Saverocity. Dia, Congrats again on a GREAT move. I’m just a lamo in the background of this game but had to throw some love. Saverocity rocks!

Thanks Leigh- appreciate the vote of confidence!

Delighted to see Dia here. I think of her fondly every time I download a free e-book using Bookbub.com, a site she blogged about. And our very successful (and cheap!) Megabus rides (NYC-Philly, Philly-DC, DC-Philly) were booked thanks to her post that the new schedule was live and that there were a few tickets that cost as little as $1 for folks who could jump on it. While Dia’s emphasis is certainly on family travel, this empty-nester really appreciates some of the great “Dia Deals.” Welcome, Dia, to one of my fav web addresses!

Glad to hear it Elaine – but I am concerned that you have other fav addresses..
