As you may remember I’m deep into planning Camp Mom 2017. As I was browsing the AA website something in the corner caught my eye:
Clicking through on AA.com takes you to a landing page on Booking.com that verifies via a green box on the bottom of the page: AA is indeed offering a Booking.com promo-$40 rebate on $80 purchase. The great thing is that the offer works on existing accounts as well as new ones. The offer states one per customer but I’m thinking each adult in your family could have his or her own account without penalty. I see no end date in the terms and conditions. If you don’t see the green box below on your screen try disabling your popup blocker.
Hacking the promotion to get $65 back on $130
If you’ve never used booking.com before here’s a way to get $65 back on a two night stay:
- 1. DO THIS FIRST: Use my referral link to get $25 back on your first $50 purchase. Referral links only work for your signup and first purchase. Book the first night.
- Enter Booking.com through the American Airlines home page for $40 off your next $80 purchase for the second night.
Doing both these steps will net you $65 back on a $130 purchase. You could then refer your family member and get an additional $25 on your account and your family member could get the $65/$130 as well. You can do a total of three separate dollar off promotions a year via the terms and you can refer up to 10 people total.
If you’re really lucky, as I was, you may also get targeted for their “genius” program for an additional 10% off.
If you’re not familiar with Booking.com they’re owned by Priceline and totally legit. The site is a cross between Priceline and Airbnb as it specializes in independent properties and vacation rentals. Booking.com is high on my list for Family Friendly Hotels.
