The new Amazon Fire TV Stick at $39.99 includes Alexa voice recognition technology- making it a no-brainer. Even better, with the pre-order Amazon Fire TV Stick Deal they’re including a $10 Amazon video credit and a bunch of other streaming freebies with a pre-order. The new unit comes out October 20th.
Activate your All-New Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote by October 31st and receive 1 month of Sling TV, 2 Months of Hulu (Limited Commercials), and a $10 Amazon Video Credit. Hulu and Sling are for new members only- Amazon values bonus at $65, but I’m skeptical. You’d get two weeks of Hulu free anyway just for signing up.
We love the Fire TV stick, especially if you have Amazon Prime (30-Day Free Trial) as you have access to over 40K shows including most HBO series. They’re adding new stuff all the time. We also use it to access Netflix and the kids use the Disney channel app frequently to see new episodes of favorite shows before they’re on air. We just caught the season premiere of Liv and Maddie on the Fire TV stick- I’m not a fan of the California move.
I’m pre-ordering this one as a replacement for ours. It still works fine, but the one thing I don’t love on the current model is not being able to search quickly. The voice recognition should solve that issue nicely. I’ll use this one upstairs and move the other one to the basement TV.
We still have cable bundled in with our internet and phone but I can’t help but think it’s time to cut the cord. The main things we’ll miss are news and sports. If you’re cable-free: how are you handling real time programming? I’d love to hear your take in the comments.
