An Update on MLife Hyatt Stay Credit: What Counts, What Doesn’t

After 6 nights in 4 MGM Hotels on our last Las Vegas Pool Tour I can now reliably report which ones of my Mlife Hyatt stay credit as official “stays” towards Hyatt Status renewal:

Paid nights (booked via Mlife.com): Counted
Paid nights (booke via AMEX FHR and Visa Signature): Counted
Comp night (invited by Casino, paid resort fee): NOT Counted
Comp night (MyVegas game certificate, paid resort fee) : NOT Counted

So my unofficial research notes that while any $$ spent on MGM properties (and charged to the room) DO earn Hyatt Points, stays that are not at a paid rate do NOT earn stay credit.

Note that NO MGM stays count towards the Diamond Challenge!

Nice! Thanks for sharing. I’ve also had success with booking through American Express FHR.

Got all my MGM nights posted towards Diamond Challenge. Partially due to having an email saved that stated they would count.

“Fine Hotels and Resorts”: the program through American Express platinum that gives perks when you book their rates.
