Camp Mom Vegas Redux is now less than two weeks out and a recent email caused me to tweak our hotel reservations yet again to add another must-see pool. The Golden Nugget, with it’s formerly seedy Fremont Street location, slips under the radar as a family option. Don’t let it as the Golden Nugget’s pool is often noted as one of the top ten in the country, not just in Vegas. Even better, the room rates are on par with Luxor or Excalibur when you account for their lack of a resort fee.

But I’ve found a way to make an already great deal even sweeter: Landry’s Select. Landry’s is at heart a restaurant company, owning Morton’s McCormick and Shmick’s, and Rainforest Cafe, among others. By paying $25 up front, you get an immediate $25 credit on one of their properties (so it’s basically free) and a 10% rebate on all your purchases, even on gift cards (no-double dip, unfortunately). I heard about this program in Vegas last year at the MGM Rainforest Cafe and immediately realized it was a no-brainer.

But Landry’s Select more than a no-brainer, it’s a profit maker! First, you get a $25 credit on your birthday for doing absolutely nothing more than being born, and second, you get free upgrades at Golden Nugget by reserving through the member’s number.

So if you eat at any of Landry’s restaurants or like Vegas or AC, be sure to sign up for the Select program…and I’ll see you in the shark tank!

It really is a great pool. The only small issue is that it can get extremely crowded since they fit a lot into a small area. With that said, the Golden Nugget is amazing since the remodel. We stayed there on a “Staycation” a couple of years back and really enjoyed it!
