Mlife Platinum? 3 tips to make the Excalibur less, well, Excalibur-y

Keys to the, er, Kingdom.

Keys to the, er, Kingdom.

My pal Jamison at Points Summary did a great review of the Excalibur in Las Vegas. My room in August was exactly the same, as was my coupon book, so I’ll point you there.

The only difference between our stays (besides the fact I had two kids with me) is that I’m a Mlife Platinum member (via my Hyatt Diamond status and being just THIS much of a gambler) so I had the “VIP” Excalibur experience. If you’re an Mlife elite, here’s what to expect:

1. Dedicated check-in: available to Pearl and higher. There’s an entire room off to the far right of the check in throngs…so stroll right past the masses and enjoy as it was empty even at 5PM on a Friday night!

2. A preferred parking pass for Excalibur and Luxor that is good for a month! I actually prefer valet, but it was full, so being able to park in the very first non-handicapped space was a huge perk. The pass is kind of a “secret” freebie, you have to get it from the …

3. VIP lounge located in the “high roller” slots area. It’s stocked with coffee, sodas, and snacks like nutri-grain bars and candy. I put high roller in quotes because the slots in this area start at $2. I actually won $188 on a machine in the high roller area, so good luck!

As for the food…well, the coupon book did come in handy for us at Krispy Kreme, but that’s about it.
