Tagging Miles Weekly Travel News Roundup: 28 November 2014

I’ve been on travel in Asia this week, so the weekly is definitely light. If you’ve seen a post that should be here, please don’t hesitate to share it in the comments section – Thanks and Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

The Weekly News Roundup is a collection of headlines from around the internet that caught the attention of the Tagging Miles team. Content on these blogs do not necessarily reflect the positions of Tagging Miles, and should not be considered endorsements. Have a great story we should read? Contact us now and let us know!

Award Programs, Travel and Trip Reporty Stuff

  • Chasing the Points may not be chasing First Class after spending 31 hours in First Class. He even flew what I think are two of the top 5 airlines, experiencing the world famous Lufthansa First Class Terminal to boot. I still chase experiences like that, but, like him, I don’t think I’d fly the long way around the world to get them.
  • Matt offers his take on devaluations, and everyone being big cry babies or just faking it.
  • Tiffany of One Mile at a Time (and PointsPros) shared an enlightening account of when complex awards go bad. I’ll have an interesting follow-up on Sunday (different story, but same topic).

Nonsequitars

  • FrequentMiler Has some ideas how you can help fight hunger, and give a travel companion a great Christmas present. Seems like a win to me. Hint: Southwest Companion Pass.
