Marriott Lifetime Titanium Elite Membership Package Unboxing

August 14, 2019 By Trevor 4 Comments

I feel like this day has been long in coming. I overcame my Marriott Points shortfall, and achieved Marriott lifetime Titanium Elite status over a year ago, at least according to the Marriot Bonvoy App (most days). So you can imagine that I was pretty happy to the small unassuming package from Marriott when I got the mail this afternoon.

Unboxing the Marriott Lifetime Titanium Elite Membership Package

To be fair, the package wasn’t really a box per-say, but, that term seems to be in vogue. The packaging was more like an envelope:

Opening up the envelop slightly reveals a Marriott property, though I’m not sure which one off hand:

On the other part of the tri-fold, was a welcome letter from David Flueck, Marriott’s Senior Vice President for Global Loyalty. The message highlighted some of the benefits of being a Titanium.

The real fun began in the centerfold–though not that kind of centerfold!

Yes, of course its the membership card! But, we’ll get to that in a moment. The included pamphlet in the back was more marketing than anything else:

I thought “Everywhere and Forever” was a nice touch. Looking through the pamphlet, there wasn’t too much notable, other than a page highlighting the benefits:

But back to the real star of the show, the Marriott Lifetime Titanium Elite Membership card! Pictures just don’t do the card justice, but here’s one:

Because I didn’t think the photo did justice for this–I think–metal card, I also recorded a short video:

Conclusion

I have to say, I would have liked a little more, having made it to lifetime status, but, the card is about the caliber I expected, and I suppose that’s the important thing.

Did you earn lifetime status? Did you get a similar package?

Lifetime status in a crappy program. Just think of all that grinding at SPG properties that brought you to this point. A lackluster elite program in a below average Hotel Reward Chain.

Most of my stays and points earned were at Marriotts… I didn’t know how good I didn’t have it until the merger when I started staying at SPG properties! (well that and Hyatt’s).

Got the status late last summer; still waiting for the package. Thanks for sharing the photos and your experience…
