Travel:

  • Paris experienced a horrific terrorist attack this past weekend. Over 100 people were killed. There were bombs, there was hostage taking. It was anything but pretty. Ed shares a part of the whole situation that, I’ll be honest, would not have occurred to me. It’s a good read.
  • Australian Business Traveller reports that American Airlines will offer pajamas on their flights to Australia, which is actually consistent with what Qantas does. Kudos for the two to be aligned.
  • Australian Business Traveller reports that Marriott will buy Starwood. This could be good, this could be bad, but we won’t know for a little while what the impact on the loyalty programs are. I for one, am seriously thinking about transferring my SPG points to Alaska…
  • Dia the Deal Mommy writes about Heroes Vacation Club, a program oriented toward First Responders that provides discounted weekly rentals. It’s great to see programs like this exist!
