We are planning a rather massive renovation on an investment property and will be spending a huge amount of money at Home Depot. Currently, Discover Deals for Home Depot is at 5% and Discover's quarterly 5% bonus for home improvement stores starts on 7/1. I also have enrolled for the double cash back promotion, essentially making Home Deport purchases 20% off if I do them thru the portal and with the Discover card.
My question is: Will buying a Home Depot GC off of the Home Depot website thru the Discover portal earn me the full 10% (then doubled to 20%)?
If so, presumably I can get another 10% by double-dipping the GCs thru the portal again when I buy the actual merchandise. Does anyone have experience with this?
