Upgrade AMEX Blue?

They just sent me an offer to upgrade Blue Cash to Blue Cash Preferred. Get $150 statement credit which wipes out the 95 fee and most of the next year's. Get 6% on groceries 3% on gas.

Can't really see the downside but maybe I'm missing something.

Have you had the Blue Cash Preferred yet? Is there any language about not getting the bonus if you've received it before? Otherwise it sounds like a good deal for at least a year.

I got a similar offer on a BCE that was downgraded from BCP earlier this year. There was no "previous bonus" language. I just went for the upgrade today and will report back when successful (or failed).
