Switch FF numbers mid trip?

So I'm flying LAX-HND-CGK...I have my AS 75k number on the delta leg. I'm here in HND now and have to check in with Garuda for the second leg. Can I switch to my Delta FF number at check in and earn on this flight? (V class ticket if that means anything)

I say try it. If you are checking in separately it is more likely, but it often doesn't work. Cannot hurt to give it a try!
