We stayed here in June for one night. Arrived in the early morning and left in the late afternoon on the same day. Stayed using cash & points. Informed the hotel about the early morning arrival and late afternoon departure and everything went smoothly.
It took about 10-15 minutes on a shuttle to go to/from the airport. We tried to sleep for most of the morning. The room does get some road noise and curtains were thin so it never became fully dark. There's also construction in the area. These issues might have been of less trouble if we were trying to sleep during normal hours instead of during the day.
There is a large shopping mall about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Nice food court.
I'd consider returning if I needed to be in the Richmond area, but I'd also consider other hotels or those in Vancouver proper.
