All my flying is either on award tickets or booked directly with airlines, so I'm new to the process for tickets purchased via Expedia. But when I grabbed $609 RT tickets between JFK-Johannesburg, it was easiest to go the Expedia route.
Expedia just alerted me of very minor schedule changes, one for the departure and one for the return. If a change of just a few minutes on these two flights - changes of between 5-20 minutes each - opens up the option to make a free change in my reservation, do I call the airline directly or Expedia?
If this minor schedule change gives me the opportunity, I'd like to turn the current layover in Abu Dhabi of 7:30PM to 9:30AM into a daytime or a 23 hour layover, if such flight times are available. So, who do I call?
Thanks for any advice.
Edit - Also, if I call Expedia, will they have access to more flights (that is, flights from other airlines) or will I have to stay with the current carrier (Jet)?
