I got a pretty decent room rate per point, although the actual value really isn't there: I had already planned to go to Kraków on vacation, and apparently the Pope is going to be there at the same time.

Other timing restraints didn't permit doing a proper 5 night reservation, but I still got 4 cents per point on a 4 night stay. :)

At normal rates for the hotel it's a shoddy single cent per point, so no *real* value, since the event was coincidental and not planned..

Redeeming fixed points during price-soaring periods is one of the great fruits of our scheme! Well done.

I was fortunate to get Westin Sydney (some consider it the best Westin in the world) during New Year's Eve one year. ADR was $600 for that cat5.
