Prepaid cellphone provider in the UK

I have a 1.5 week trip to London coming up and I'm trying to decide on a prepaid cellphone provider.

I'm currently between 3 and EE. EE seems to have the best 4G coverage and speeds, but three is cheaper. We will be doing some travel, so coverage could be an issue but 3's 3G coverage seems to be adequate.

Anyone with recent experience?

This past spring I picked up a cheap, dumb phone by EE after my iPhone died the day I was departing. I only used phone and texts but it worked fine in London. Stop by a Car Phone Warehouse and see what they have.
