Possible to Purchase Membership Rewards?

I realize that normally this would be a silly question. We "purchase" points through MS. Still, I'm only a couple thousand points shy of the redemption I want, and was hoping I could buy the last few rather than wait a month for MS to earn the 3000 i'm lacking (especially with the upcoming ANA awards changing). Are there any fast and dirty ways to buy MR points?

Do you have a few SPG points?

I'm new to the game, so I haven't gotten an SPG card yet. I heard the sign up bonus sometimes goes up to 30k, so I was waiting for that. Is it possible to buy SPG points and transfer them to a partner?

Update: You can't borrow points any longer, but you can purchase them. $25 per 10,000. Obviously not a good deal, but if you ever need a few points and its time sensitive, its at least an option. Considering my first 169,000 points were combined between sign up bonuses and fee free loading, I don't mind paying $75 for the final 3,000 I need.
