Husband's new PPDC received via email a targeted offer of 2% cash back (1% base + 1% bonus) on all signature purchases from 9/22 thru the end of the year because "your email preferences are set to receive "News and Promotions"." It has only been used to load Chime thus far and did not receive the $30 or $50 bonus offer that my older accounts received. Fine print follows:
*With the PayPal Business Debit MasterCard, you can earn base 1% cash back on signature purchases made online, over the phone, or in store. You must be enrolled in cash back to earn base 1% cash back. To be eligible to receive an additional 1% (total 2%), you must make signature purchases using your PayPal Business Debit MasterCard between 9/22/2014 and 12/31/2014 ("Offer"). Signature purchases associated with this Offer are defined as those transactions for which you sign, or those for which you choose the "Credit" option. In order to receive this Offer, you must a) have a U.S. PayPal account in good standing, b) receive an invitation from PayPal inviting you to participate in the Offer, and c) complete signature purchases using your PayPal Business Debit MasterCard as the sole payment method no later than 12/31/2014. Cash back will be earned on net purchases when the receipt is signed, or when the purchase is authorized as a credit transaction. The PayPal account credit will be transferred into your PayPal account within 4-6 weeks after the promotion ends, so long as your PayPal account is in good standing at the time the funds are transferred. Excluded transactions from the Offer include, but are not limited to, the following: transactions minus returns and credits and does not include fees or ATM withdrawals, gift certificate payments, gift card purchases, purchases that require PIN entry, and any other payment method used through your PayPal account. PayPal reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Offer in part or in its entirety at any time without notice, for any reason in their sole discretion.
