Just finished a 2 night stay at this Crowne Plaza in Paris. Per TripAdvisor this was a former Holiday Inn and in my opinion should have probably stayed a HI. Not quite up to the standard of a Crowne Plaza.
Pluses: Great location. Right across from the metro station. Walking distance to Bastille and even Notre Dame. We walked from Gare du Nord and it was not too far. Nice lobby and remodeled rooms (minus bathrooms).
Negative: Bathrooms in need of serious remodel. Expensive rooms for what you get.
We booked a "Club Room" which gave access to the executive lounge. Not worth the extra, it was just a small room with a TV that served light snacks in the evening and a meager breakfast. Free beer and soda all day long a plus.
Didn't get any benefits at the hotel as an IHG Platinum except for very slow free internet. If you wanted fast internet you still had to pay for it.
