Trying to decide on BKK-JFK CX Biz flights.
Two options - BKK to HKG LV 8:25 AM - AR 12:10 PM
HKG to JFK 4:25 PM - AR 7:15 PM
or BKK to HKG LV 7:10 PM - AR - 10:50 PM
HKG to JFK LV 1:00 AM (Stop in Vancouver 1.5 hours) AR JFK 6:00 AM (next day)
Both flights leave on the same day - the later one would give us a pretty good chunk of extra time in BKK. We have 2.5 hour drive home from JFK.
My initial feeling is to take the flight leaving at 7:10 PM for the extra time in BKK and honestly, I'd rather drive home from JFK in the morning rather than getting home at 11:00 PM.
My question - how awful is a stop in Vancouver? Do we stay on the plane? Total travel time is roughly the same - actually an hour shorter through Vancouver.
Does anyone have any experience with this or opinion?
