Just received a targeted offer on buying UA miles: Get 25K or more and receive 50% off, 150K points will cost $2821.88 which net about 1.88 cpm, good deal? Does anyone know if buying UA miles using UMP card counts as double points?

That's right. Use Barclays Arrival+ to get 2.2% cash back. But realize that these points will not count as a Travel charge, so you need to use it for something else.
