There are some amazing Marriott hotels that I have stayed in, in NYC.
If you are looking for views nothing beats the Residence Inn New York/Manhattan/Central Park.

The hotel boasts itself as the tallest hotel in North America and has the most amazing views. Ive stayed here twice for my wifes birthday and we stayed on the 61st floor in a corner room overlooking central park. Stunning views of the park both at night and in the morning. This hotel doesnt have suites.

A second "high end" hotel which is by far the nicest Marriott family hotel Ive stayed in is the New York Edition

its considered a Ritz Carlton hotel but you can get it for between 40-50K points per night.

If you are looking for hotels that are cheaper but are still decent I advise looking on the other side of the hudson. I've stayed in 2 different Residence Inns in Secaucus and the Meadowlands. Both of these hotels were clean and spacious. As Residence Inn hotels they both had full kitchens and since they were not in NYC they were exceedingly cheaper.

Ive written reviews on all of these hotels on TripAdvisor.com
