Marriott Gold Status Challenge

If you're considering doing a status match to get elite status, you may want to look into booking meetings instead. Basically, for every meeting you book at Marriott, you get 10 elite night credits. I'm currently in the process of looking for hotels who will rent me space cheaply enough. My target is about $75, meaning that you can basically buy top tier status for $600 ($75*8 = 80 night credits). You don't have to actually stay to get the credit, and there's reports of people not even showing up and still getting the nights. Here's the link to the program:

Wow, for $600, you could MS over 70k. I got matched from SPG for doing less than that. Would earning 210k pts get Gold Elite? I don't have a Marriot card, so I'm just asking. (the points go 1:3). That way you get the rooms and the status.

Is there a way to sort the results by price? Or do you just manually scan the list?
