Looks like a good deal, but the fine print says this: "Must be a first time user." I wonder if that means a first time Lyft user, or a first time Dealchicken user.

I think it's a first time Lyft user. Since Uber seems to better known, this is probably a way for Lyft to get people to try them. I haven't used Lyft before.

cocobird, I think there is a better offer available right now. You can get a $50 credit for free if you:

  1. Download the Lyft app on your iphone or Android.
  2. Enter code SLICKDEALS in the Settings > Payment > Lyft Credits area.
Note: do not use a friend’s referral link if you want to get this offer! Currently, referral bonuses are only $25.

I ended up purchasing this deal, but I can confirm that it doesn't work for prior Lyft users. So I ended up asking for a refund.

Kendra, do you know if that Slickdeals promo code is good for a full $50 Lyft credit, or is it one of those "$50 towards your first ride," which they sometimes offer (and ends up actually being worth $10 or so)?
