Is this really as good a deal as it looks?

If you look on "specials.restaurant.com" there is a deal for "$55 for $500 Hotel and Resort eGift Card featuring Hilton World Wide + $20 VISA Gas Card + $50 Restaurant.com eGift Card"

*Please note that you will be receiving 3 PDF vouchers attached to your email; (1) Hotel and Resort Card pdf voucher, (1) Visa Gas Card pdf voucher and one (1) Restaurant.com eGift Card voucher*

The catch? The Visa GC (Metabank) expires after 6 months; the hotel voucher also isn't for use on hilton.com, you have to reserve a room through a special website (hotelandresortcard.com).

What do you think?

I wouldn't touch it. Can you come out ahead? Probably. But they wouldn't be selling it at 11% of its potential value if it wasn't extremely difficult to use.

Looks like more of a discount program. The $500 card can only be used $25-75 at a time to give a discount, not a free room.

Directly from the website: "Maximum Allowable Discount that may apply to your entire stay is 75 USD discount which will be applied towards the booking of this room and deducted from your card"

That's for Hilton Times Square. Other properties are either $25 or $50 max. I only looked up a handful though so the range may be greater.

You can probably save more on paid stays by using the MVP Hilton rates since those save each night of the stay and not $25-75 per stay.
