Iberia Avios - Easiest way to avoid expiry?

So, ... according to the Iberia FAQ: "Regulation stipulates that you earn or spend Avios at least once every 36 months to make sure the entire Avios balance doesn't expire. Issuing or receiving Avios transferred to you is not considered to be an activity."

So, given that a simple transfer won't do the trick, what's the easiest way to reset the clock on my Iberia Avios?

What about tranferring all of them to BA? Any reason that won't work?

obviously you can transfer in a hundred miles or whatever the minimum amount is, that should reset your 36 months. Or try finding out if you can redeem miles for other things and "buy" whatever is cheapest (think magazine subscription)

... even though I just quoted their Ts&Cs saying that a transfer would *not* count?
