How fast is AMEX MR transfer to BA Avios?

Everyone says the transfer is instant.

I just did the transfer and the transfer was "instant", since BA shows the transaction correctly.
However, "My Avios" is still zero, which means the transferred Avios are not available for use instantly.
I called BA Executive Club and was told that it may take up to 21 days!!

Is anybody having the same problem?
I'm mindlessly refreshing my BA account page.

It has always been more or less instant for me. But I didn't check it immediately, usually a bit later. Why don't you step off the computer for a few hours and come back to check?

Should be instant, but does require a logout/login of your BA account.

I was able to use Avios about 4 hours after the transfer.
Not bad, but I thought I could use Avios instantly like after UR points transfer.
