Help HNL-FAT

A complete novice when it comes to transferring points and getting best value. Appreciate any help. I'm attempting to book a particular flight to be with a friend who is paying cash for his seat:
Fri, Sep 23 9:01pm AA
HNL > PHX > FAT (one way)

Also looking for help with this flight (maybe make a separate thread?)
Tue, Sep 13 6:00am Alaska
FAT > SEA > YVR (one way)

I have plenty of Delta, AA and Membership Rewards points available to use.

If a flight itinerary is available as a saver award, it can be booked by partners. If not, in nearly all cases, it is only bookable by the airline that is operating the flight. Neither of your itineraries are available as saver awards, so the only way to get on them is using AA and AS miles, respectively. HNL-PHX-FAT at 9:01p on 9/23 is 40k AA. FAT-SEA-YVR at 6am on 9/13 is 20k AS.
