Ideally, to make this work all in business class and keeping both travelers on the same flights, you would need to redeem AA miles. To search for availability with AA miles, search for CKG/SIN/DPS - LAX/ORD/SFO/JFK/EWR/DFW/ on britishairways.com and look for Cathay Pacific or JAL flights, and then search for LAX/ORD/SFO/JFK/EWR/DFW-DCA/IAD/BWI on AA.com. When you have found the flights you want, call AA to book and ask to waive the phone booking fee because Cathay Pacific and JAL cannot be booked online.

If you cannot find DC-Asia or Asia-DC on AA, you can book that in coach with Delta miles at 40k per person after transferring in from Amex MR. These can be booked online at delta.com. Aim for the KE flights IAD-ICN-CGK/SIN/DPS, but there are other options in March/April connecting in China if that fails.
