Companion Pass retention after CC closing

#1
I am considering cancelling my Chase cards so that I'm able to apply again in the future, but I'm wondering if my companion pass (expires at the end of this year) would be forfeited if I close my two SW CC accounts? Does anyone know?

Thanks

It is NOT an issue.
Although, keep in mind that Southwest Points expire if they is no activity in 2 years.

You 100% keep the Companion Pass until the expiration date listed for the CP on your Rapid Rewards account portal. Cardholder status doesn't impact it at all (after you've earned the CP).
