I'm seeing $823 for CLT-XIY 1/2-1/11 on Expedia on AA/KE/MU (strange combo, I know...not sure why mixing alliances is coming out so cheap). That's tough to beat. I couldn't get it to price on Chase/Citi, but if you have the CSR or the Prestige and can get it to price online or by phone, could be a great use of TY or decent use of UR. Plus it earns mileage. Even if you can't, paying cash probably beats using miles, as at that price you're barely north of 1c per mile of value even if you can find award flights.
