The Chase Freedom card is back with a $200 signup offer after $500 spent in the first 3 months. Got an e-mail this morning regarding the refer-a-friend system and saw the upped bonus.

This card probably doesn't need much introduction or explanation among this crowd, but it's an absolute staple of the 5% world, and value jumps way above 5% when paired with a Chase Premium card such as the Sapphire Preferred or Ink.

Before applying folks might want to take a gander over at FT forum on Chase cards. It seems within the last week or so Chase has gotten tough on "churners". If the reports are correct it seems more than 4-5 new accounts (total not just with Chase) in the last two years are enough for Chase to deny on their non-cobranded cards. The situation is less clear on the co-branded cards. There are similar reports on Dan's Deals too.
