Charity + Real Estate (selling or buying)

I wanted to share this with people. There is a real estate agent I know in town who donates 1/3 of her commission or the equivalent of 1% of the sale price of her home to the charity or association of the clients choice. On a modest $300,000 house that can be equal to $3,000. While this is not deductible for the client it still can be a lot of money given to the clients place of interest. I mention this so other people know that they also can look for agents in their area that do this. If all things being equal when comparing a real estate agent, this definitely can be a tie breaker. I honestly wish I knew the agent when we last sold and bought.

Topkapi Palace is located in Istanbul, Turkey.

Following the capture of Constantinople, Sultan Mehmed II began construction on Topkapi Palace as a symbol of his authority and splendor. The palace complex was enlarged as the empire increased, and it served as the sultans' formal home for 400 years. Its position above the Bosphorous Strait is as commanding as it has always been.
