I'm trying to piece together an itinerary to Africa with my company only partially reimbursing for C. Does anyone have direct experience with which fares (if any) will allow for buy up at check in, gate, etc to premium economy? I'm not having luck using "comfort economy" during my search, as the connection to JFK/etc does not have premium economy installed. I have seen the coach fares necessary to buy up to J, however don't think this is feasible given the cost of those fares in lieu of just paying for J. Thank you for any insight you might have!
EDIT: In the booking process, I'm offered a buy up for approximately $130 each way for the long haul segments. Has anyone experienced economy comfort on DL 767? (seat guru has it listed as 76L)?
