Barclaycard CLI Request

My shiny new Arrival+ card arrived, though with a credit limit less than half of what recent issuers have given me. If I call in and ask for an increase right out of the gate, will it result in another hard pull? Or is this just not a good idea to do in general?

I think that it might. When I called a few weeks ago to see if I could get my annual fee waived the customer service rep specifically said that this was the one time of year I could get a credit line increase WITHOUT a credit pull. Which would lead one to believe that at any other time it would be pulled.

Or if you have other Barclays cards, you can shift the credit over to your Arrival+. I did that since they gave me $15K limit on the Miles and More card but only gave me $5K on Arrival+. Why in the world would I need that much credit for the M&M card? Calling the credit department to shift the credit limit was very easy - took 5-10 minutes and no additional hard pull.

This is my first Barclaycard, so unfortunately shifting credit lines is not an option.
