Sorry is this has been hashed out already. I searched boxed and couldn't find anything past 2015.
Fee is due. Is it even worth keeping open for the 10k anymore?
Obviously, you take free miles if they offer a retention but I'm not sure 10k is worth anything anymore. (Hubs and I, combined, have over a million miles on AA and they suck for saaver awards.) I think someone is coming out with a new AA card...Barclay? Maybe I'm dreaming. I dunno. I've been so caught up with college app's for my twins it's been crazy. Which reminds me...that's a topic I need to put on the finance boards. "How The F Am I Supposed To Pay For This?"
EDIT: They waived the fee and offered if I spend $1,000 in 90 days I'll get 5,000 miles.
I quickly went in and paid the $89 fee since I wasn't sure I'd still get the 10,000 miles by having the fee waived.
