Anyone know passport requirements for children travelling to mexico by air?

We have a family trip planned to Cabo San Lucas this summer and I was wondering if anyone knows what the requirement is for passport/proof of citizenship for a 1 and 4 year old. Thanks!

Get them both passports, good for 5 years. Done.

Passports are required. You have enough time to get them done before you leave
