ANA fuel surcharge on TAP Portgual

i have a question about ana fuel surcharges. with ana, they only show you the amount if you have enough in your account, but i'm not going to transfer my amex mr w/o knowing the exact amount cash i'm expected to pay. i know for united, it'll be $100, but i also have a tap portugal leg, does anyone have any insight? since it's an intra-europe flight will it be low?

this is what i found in ITA matrisx. is it safe to say i can expect $856 YQ/person or should the UA portion be zero since they don't pass on YQ?

I don't know for certain, but my impression is that when a program charges YQ in general, it does so regardless of whether the operating carrier's program charges YQ for the same flight. For example, AA doesn't impose YQ for trans-oceanic AA metal on award tickets, but a BA-issued award ticket flying trans-oceanic AA would incur the AA YQ. So I would think your ANA-issued award ticket would incur the UA YQ.

Like AC, ANA will charge surcharges for the TAP segment but not the UA segments. The easiest way to confirm the surcharge total will be to call the efficient and friendly ANA reservations line at 800-235-9262
