Amex Sync $5 off $10 Starbucks online works for reloads

The offer doesn't make it clear online GC loads count, listed as "store.starbucks.com", so I tried a $10 card reload and received the confirmation email a short time later.

Managed to reload my Starbucks card with two Amex cards but only got one through for my husband's. CSR at Starbucks says they are doing major site upgrades and that's why I get the Oops.... message. But I remember people complaining of difficulty after the offer came out too.

Any suggestions on getting this to work for one card after the other would be most welcome. I have another 8 cards with the offer that I'd love to use. Thanks.

Who does upgrades on New Years Eve... I bet something is broken and they are just saying its upgrades :). Only way I did it is just by changing the credit cards and doing $10 reloads Then at one point it stopped working and gave me some weird error and I stopped loading them.
