I bet I'm not the only one who read every word posted and still misinterpreted this as a ShopYourWay deal (SYW). I was confused even before two of the replies mentioned Sears LOL.
On topic, I gotta believe that even though gift card purchases are explicitly ineligible, there's probably some stores where they slip through the cracks.
(1000 RR =~ 1000/76 =~ $13.16; $600 order yields 2.2% on the bonus; Kmart/Sears @ 3 RR/$ yields another 3.9% for a 6.1% total; So ShopDiscover will tend to be better FWIW)
