Alaska Partner Miles

I know that things can change daily but when I booked an Air France RT JFK-CDG I didn't really want my miles on Flying blue as I have transfer cards that can give me those miles prn.

I decided to steer them to Alaska and my number was duly entered into the booking and on our boarding passes. Alert! Our return flight was operated by DL, which was a partner of AS until 30 April. Our return flight was on 9 May so when I sent in the information I was past-posted and told I would not receive my miles.

Granted that 4400 AS doesn't help much but at least I can eventually use them.

Loophole! If Delta flights were booked prior to 19/12 you get credit no matter when you fly, so a phone call actually fixed this.

It does show that you have to stay on top of everything and keep documentation. Also, you should check who operates your flight. DL is sort of crummy but they did have a nice Cote-Rotie which eased the pain.
