Passport question on # of pages

I've never used up a passport before it's expiration date. But thanks to points and miles . . . it has happened!

Our passports expire 2023 and 2024. We have a trip planned in Aug/Sept to Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and the Seychelles. We each have 5 full blank visa pages and 3 endorsement pages.

We need to get East Africa evisas. By my calculation, we will have two entries and exits from Rwanda, one entry/one exit from each of the other 3 countries. 10 stamps?

Can we safely not get the new passport until after this trip? Our gorilla trekking permits (which are tied to our passports) were secured last year before the most recent trip that used 4 pages. I wasn't expecting that.

Thank you for any insights.

I think you will be fine with 5 visa pages. In theory they can handle four stamps each (depending on the size of the stamps and how the entry folks place the stamps). Also I have had places that will overlap stamps somewhat particularly exit stamps. I cannot imagine you'll have issues.

I often see statements that say you need at least two blank visa pages and I didn't want to get caught somewhere in the middle without enough pages.
