Staples Gap Brand Gift Cards Discount Now Applicable Online

Chuck wrote about the Staples gift card deal where you could buy $300 in prepaid cards and you will receive a $20 Staples gift card as the rebate and covered the Gap gift cards for 15% off. Initially, the Gap cards were not available to purchase online which both Chuck and the rep confirmed. I checked last night too and it wasn’t available.

These Gap cards are now 15% off on Staples.com.

Gift Cards

Just search “Gap gift cards” and there will be 3 different types in 4 different denominations.

EDIT: Or you could search for “gift cards” and there’s a banner at the top that I missed the first time and will look like this:

Here is the screenshot of all the Gap brands from Gift Card Granny

Monster Gift Card appears to be the best place to sell your Gap brand gift cards because of the break even sales rate. Obviously you want to use your Ink card for 5x and maximize your return on points.

For those wondering if you should list it as Gap Kids with Monster Gift card with all the Gap brands it will be OK. It’s written on the back of the gift cards that it’ll apply to all Gap brands. Don’t believe me? Here’s the product details from Staples:

The Gift Card may be redeemed for merchandise at any Gap brand, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperlime or Athleta location, including Outlet and Factory stores. The Gift Card may also be redeemed online for merchandise at gap.com, oldnavy.com, bananarepublic.com, piperlime.com or athleta.com.

HUGE DISCLAIMER: Just because Monster Gift Card has the highest rates, my message is not endorsing you to sell to them. I’m just pointing out the obvious with the rate. I have never sold with them before.

If you don’t feel comfortable with Monster, I could recommend SaveYa because they are run by the same team brought to you by giftcards.com and I know lots of people who have sold on GiftCards.com I haven’t, yet. That may change in the future.

  • I don’t think monstergiftcards buys e-gift cards. I went through the process of selling a card with them and was prompted to print out an invoice to ship with my cards.

    • I checked cardpool and they are giving you $74 per $100 – so maybe if you are a bulk reseller. On the other hand with the 8% Alaska Portal + Ink you might be able to work it —

      • Thanks – even with Cardpool + Bulk they still penalize you with eGC’s. I’m not a fan of that.

GiftCard Zen won’t penalize, but they pay out @ 81% max.

        Raise won’t penalize either

        • I thought Giftcard Zen doesn’t accept egift card either?
Or do they have a different program for bulk seller?

          • GCZ accepts eGC if you’re a bulk seller. Otherwise, you must mail it in

    • Thanks – guess Monster won’t fit the bill

  • Does it earn portal points? 8x alaska 😉

  • Do you know if you can buy physical Gap cards with eGCs? It looks like it’s possible online but I don’t have one to test if it will go through.

    • That’s a good question, I never tried that.

    • That’s a no go. Tried it and got cancellation email plus a phone call.

      • From staples? I can’t recall hearing something like that happen before

        • I believe the OP was speaking to buying physical Gap GC with a Gap eGC. In my experience the order will go through and subsequently get cancelled.

          • Thanks, I missed that replying on the phone vs webpage for the comments and how it stacks

          • Correct, I was looking to convert an electronic GAP GC to a physical one. Thanks for the info. I wonder if in store works instead.
