My Latest Credit Cards And Why I Applied

This past week, I did a light round of credit card applications. I signed up for:

  • Old AMEX Blue for 5% in gas, groceries, and drug stores after spending $6500 within twelve months of the card anniversary year otherwise it would be .5% or 1% in the aforementioned categories
  • Fidelity 2% AMEX  for 2% back on all spend
  • Capital One’s Neiman Marcus credit card

The first two are pretty much self explanatory. I wanted to sign up for the Bloomingdale’s credit card, but the more desirable one needs to be signed up in store and I have not made my way to the physical store yet. Even though I wrote, that the Neiman Marcus card is not that good, I couldn’t help myself because I wanted to see what was available in the InCircle program.

This is the most details that I can find about the InCircle program:

Neiman Marcus InCircle points… wow

If you’re an AMEX Platinum cardholder, when you should at Neiman Marcus, you could double dip with 1x for Membership Rewards and 1x on InCircle points.

  • Why’d you need the NM card when you can test the in circle program by signing up with amex?

    • I don’t have the AMEX Platinum card, it’s on my list of cards to get. At this time, I don’t have any Membership Rewards earning cards
