Chase has updated the Ultimate Rewards Mall to include a section to purchase gift cards and earn points. It’s nothing lucrative for gift card churning, but can be a great way to earn extra points.
As I was capturing the screenshot above, to research which cards in my wallet had access to purchasing gift cards eligible for extra Ultimate Reward points, I noticed this:
On the top banner under “Featured Gift Card Offers,” there is Lands’ End, Restaurant.com, Wine Enthusiast, and Under Armour listed as eligible for extra points. You may need to refresh the page a few times to see all the featured partners. If I were to purchase gift cards from that list, I’d be sure to capture a screen shot just in case Chase does not honor the extra points.
UPDATE: apparently, I never noticed this.. as I tweeted with Frequent Miler and he said that it’s been around and has lost many vendors
