When I called American Express last month, I found out about the reload limits, $1000 every 28 days, $6000 max per year. In between the last time I wrote about it and today, I received $10 for opening the Campus Edition card.
I attempted to load my card with $500 because it was after the 28 day. Cashier at the book store told me invalid gift card number. I thought this is not good and hoped that AMEX didn’t shut me down.
Fortunately, I called the back of the card and they found no reports of any errors to stop me from loading. We concluded it must have been a user error at the book store. I will try it again and report back on the findings.
