Emirates announces first two cabin A380 destination

According to Australian Business Traveller Emirates is deploying its first two cabin A380 to Copenhagen. The 2 cabin A380 will have a whopping 615 seats, with 58 lay flat business class seats.

While no seatmap is known at publishing, rumor has it that business class will still be on the upper deck. Since there will be 58 seats vying for the illustrious shower spas, Emirates will no doubt restrict their use. We suspect that different tickets may be coded to restrict access, much like readers have experience attempting to enter Emirates’ lounges while flying on Alaska Awards. In fact, at the announcement of the Copenhagen route, the Chief of Skywards Thierry Antinori was overheard lamenting that “no more showers for Alaska Awards!”

We suspect that those flying on award tickets purchased with Korean Air and Japan Airlines will be next.
Rumors further report that the business class bar will exist, but its not clear where it will be. Many fear it that Emirates may take the approach of Etihad, and put the Bar between Business class and an Economy mini-cabin. If they were to do that, they’ll need to ensure they have a way to prevent Economy passengers from sneaking into the bar area – consequences could be disastrous, just look!

Its not clear as to whether the main deck will be 10 or 11 abreast seating… But lets be honest, that’s not really a concern of ours anyway.
So, who wants to fly Dubai to Copenhagen?
(Editors note: This is meant to be largely satire, the only truth in the story is the link to Australian Business Traveler and Emirates’ Dubai-Copenhagen route…oh, and it will be two cabin, but not nearly as exciting as we depict).
