New Experiment With Reselling And Office Max

Thanks to Personal Finance Digest for alerting me of the Office Max deal, I was about to buy at 50 packs of paper towels from Staples to resell on Amazon, but they had a limit of 2 per customer. In addition at small quantities, it wouldn’t be worth it because paper towels are bulky items the fees that Amazon charges outweigh reselling paper towels.

While on that train of thought, I saw Office Max had a 20% off deal and I ran through some numbers and I could come up with some free manufactured spend as well as make a tiny profit.

The experiment, kind of poor in hindsight since there’s a few too many variables:

  • Used a gift card to buy some things at 20% off
    • TopCashBack + Office Max + have entire balance paid with GC
    • Ultimate Rewards + Office Max + partial payment with GC + Ink Bold

It’s a poor experiment because there are 2 variables: paying entire balance with gift card and click through portals.

I have written in the past that I did not want to resell items, but the items I purchased are fairly low risk and I will use fulfillment by Amazon to do the pick and pack.
