Gift Card Churning – Case For JunkCard’s Bulk Seller Program

As I continue to browse and research gift card exchange sites, Junkcard’s bulk seller program sounds incredibly attractive.

The bolded areas are what makes it highly attractive.

Quoted From JunkCard’s bulk seller:

Bulk Sales

If you sell cards regularly or are interested in selling $1,000.00 or more in cards, you may have the opportunity to reep benefits that are unavailable to the rest of our sellers. Some of these benefits include:

– Payout rates of 2% higher than our advertised prices.

-Faster Payment Options (ACH, Western Union, PayPal or Check).

-Reimbursements for your Shipping Costs (up to $6.95).

-A Personal Representative with all the help and answers you may need throughout the selling process.

-The ability to potentially sell your cards Electronically.

Open questions:

I emailed them, but I have not received a response in regards to the bolded areas as I had questioned them with:

  • Is there a minimum amount of gift cards that need to be sold to achieve the higher payout?
  • Is there a certain gift card for the 2%?
  • Is there a minimum amount of gift cards to be sold for the shipping reimbursement?

The first two questions tie in together because an extra 2% on any card sold is highly attractive.

Theory:

The third question on the shipping would actually be a money maker in of itself or a gigantic Membership Rewards point machine if you use the American Express Business Gold Rewards card. As mentioned the other day, about a case for the AMEX Business Gold card and why it’s attractive for MS’ers would be to charge all the shipping when selling to JunkCard. I would not opt for the FedEx One Rate because it’s quite costly, but any of the slower shipping services would fit the bill (pun intended).

Here’s a screenshot again on the Open savings with AMEX Business Rewards Gold:

This could be a money making/serious point generation when taking advantage of FedEx for the OPEN savings and Junkcard’s shipping reimbursement. Once you exhaust the BRG card, if you have another business Membership Rewards earning card you could further utilize the FedEx category.

DISCLAIMER: I want to note that I have never sold with Junkcard before — this post was more forward thinking and observational. I cannot vouch for Junkcard at this time.

    • Ed! So nice to see you again. It’s funny that you post about it because just the other day I emailed about their bulk seller program and here is what they have to say:

      —–

Typically our bulk sales program is for sellers who are selling $1,000.00 or more in a single transaction, with no retailers excluded.

If you would like to reply with your phone number and a good time to talk about bulk sales, we will have a sales representative from our team give you a call to discuss the process.

We appreciate your interest in our service!

I will drop a line and chat with them about it

  • junkcard.com is a Scam. Bought a card and they use # & pin to use the balance after return policy expired. They will not address the issue. No reply to email & no phone # listed on website.
